Cecelia's Holiday Manor is a beautiful 3 bedroom, pet friendly beachfront cottage nestled in the coastal village of Zinkwazi on the North-Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. The beachfront cottage is ideal for the families visting the North Coast of KZN.

The cottage can sleep 6-8 guests. We have ample parking in the property. The beachfront cottage is pet friendly and ideal for families travelling with children and pets. Slow pace and close to nature is the best way to describe Zinkwazi Beach. We have the best of both lagoon and beach. The beachfront cottage has direct access to the beach from the garden. The sundeck offers spectacular breaker waves and ocean views. The cottage has a private swimming pool and an extensive garden. A lovely place for children to play and relax with family. The beachfront cottage is ideal for long lunches and meeting up with family who lives in Durban. We love seeing family members visit and you are welcome to invite family members over to spend the day.

The beauty of both the lagoon and beach

While staying at this lovely beachfront holiday home, the whole family can spend time together on the beach, one of nature’s most beautiful playgrounds, whilst getting exercise - walking, playing with a ball, beach cricket, swimming etc. and the best part, making memories wrapped up in love.  Otherwise just enjoy and relax on the sand with a lovely book whilst the kids build a sandcastle overlooking the beachfront.

The Lagoon is ideal for water sports and ski boats that provide a lovely afternoons entertainment for everyone. Rent a canoe and enjoy the afternoon on the lagoon or laze on the beach. The local skipper can assist with a a sundowner cruise on the lagoon. A magical way to experience the village. The ski boat club assist with all water sports and boat mooring enquiries.

When visiting Zinkwazi Beach House, don’t forget to pack: sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, umbrellas, goggles, aftersun, buckets, spades, boogie boards, fishing nets, something for blue bottles - Some items we also keep at the beach house and our local store is well stocked with beach supplies.

Beach tip:  Baby (talc)powder is a fantastic way of getting sand off your body.  Perfect for cleaning feet before getting into the car.

Child Friendly and Pets are Welcome!

Children especially enjoy the beauty of this self-catering beachfront cottage.   The freedom of playing in the garden, swimming and spending fun filled days on the beach collecting shells and all sorts to take home, and going down the sand dunes with their boogie boards, great fun for the whole family and good exercise comes free.  Our very faithful helper Doris is there to assist with the kids where you need her. She can prepare breakfast and assist with meals where needed. We also have a cook on call that can come and assist with all meals should this be a requirement to make your beachfront holiday more relaxing.


As travel slowly awakens from its coma, we look forward to welcoming our families back to the beachfront cottage.

  • We are on the North Coast of KZN which is a little further from the bustle and activity of crowds. A perfect spot for quality and alone time with friends and loved ones. The ideal place to self isolate from crowds, with a fabulous view and peaceful surroundings. Nothing clears the head and heart like an early morning walk on the beach.
  • You can drive to the cottage with minimum exposure to strangers. No need to fly.
  • You will be staying with family and friends in a self-catering cottage and not with strangers on 3000m2 of coastal forest garden. No chance of cabin fever. An abundance of wide open spaces to play and relax without feeling cooped up. Remote wildlife experiences, with isolating day trips becoming a new norm of travelling consider visiting one of our game reserves on the North coast with Hluhluwe only 1 ½ hour away.
  • You have access to a private pool during your stay, no communial facilities.
  • Easy relax beaches with no overcrowding.

What we are doing for the health and safety of our Guests?

  • CHM has always maintained strict hygiene standards and will continue to do so with some additional emphasis on aspects that can help to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We understand that this is a highly contagious virus and also that it is manageable through strict adherence to specific hygiene practices and adhering to the social distancing campaign as instructed by the country’s command centre.
  • We have one staff member on duty during your stay, to make sure the cottage stays clean and sanitized.
  • During this period as restrictions on travel are starting to ease we remain cautious and will leave open 1 ½ day between families checking in and out of the cottage to ensure that all surfaces and beds are sanitized and thoroughly cleaned.
  • Consider the order and delivery of groceries to the cottage. To minimize your exposure to shopping malls and restaurants or bring your food from your travel destination.
  • We have briefed and educated our staff about the necessary procedures.
  • We encourage all families who visit the cottage to wear a mask when in public. If you are on the beach please apply discretion. Staff will wear masks and faces shields at all time as an additional layer of protection.
  • A health and safety questionnaire will be requested to be completed before visiting the cottage in line with our responsible tourism initiative on the North coast. If for any reason a family who is visiting may have symptoms of not feeling well during their stay, kindly let me know and we will assist to make sure you are well taken care of.
  • We operate within a travel bubble and will only accept domestic visitors within our local South African borders for now to keep our risk exposure to a minimum.

What happens if you have made a reservation and is unable to travel because of possible travel restrictions?

  • All families at the cottage will be eligible to a credit note for the amount paid and this can be used within 2 years from their initial date of departure.
